On the 2nd of May, more than 300 travel professionals came together at the Crown Plaza of Cochin for the ‘South India Travel Awards’ award ceremony. Shanti Travel was awarded ‘Best customized tour operator’
The event South India Travel Awards is sponsored by the association Incredible India and endorsed by highly reputed organizations such as PATA, World Travel & Tourism Council, OTOAI, or TAFI. All travel professionals active in India were looking forward to this major happening! A few weeks earlier, Shanti Travel had been informed of its nomination in the category ‘best tour operators’. Our Travel Expert specialist of South India, David Gaulin, represented Shanti that evening and collected the award of the ‘Best Customized Tour Operator’.
The organizors of this important travel industry event had not neglected one single detail: fantastic reception, gala dinner, dancing shows and one man shows, the ceremony was a kaleidoscope of colors!
In his opening word, the president highlighted the growing attention for Kerala and South India in general as a premium choice travel destination. He also thanked the actors that were present for their increasingly professional engagement within the travel industry. He then designated those whose efforts in terms of quality, service and innovation were particularly distinctive. David Gaulin, our Travel Expert specialist of South India and based in Cochin was on the spot to represent Shanti Travel and collect the award of Best Customized Tour Operator.
