New Delhi Old Station

We started our trip from Old Delhi station. We in a group of 5 people organized our trip to Jaisalmer and Jodhpur. I was visiting these destinations for the first time, which is why I was excited to explore Rajasthan. The stations in Delhi are always chaotic like any other stations around the world. Hustling and bustling with noise. The train journey takes a whopping 18 hours. Our train was supposed to leave old Delhi station by 6 pm and reach Jaisalmer by 11.30 am the next morning. We all were excited and knew that no matter how long our journey is we will be going to enjoy the time spent together. Continue reading

Jodhpur is one of most famous touristic places of Rajasthan. Famous for the Mehrangarh fort and known as the blue city, it is situated on the western border of India. Meharangarh Fort in the heart of the city of Jodhpur, stands 125 meters high and is spread over 5 sq. km. This once invincible fort has 4 gates including the Jay pol, the Fateh pol and the Loha pol. Within the fort are magnificent palaces with marvelously carved panels and latticed windows. They are the Moti mahal, the Sheesh mahal, the Phool mahal, the Sileh khana and the Daulat khana. These have collections of palanquins, elephant’s howdas, miniature paintings, instruments, costumes, and furniture. Continue reading
